Slope Construction and Vegetation Cover

The Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen make an effort to organise the construction and operation of slopes together with the landowners so that agricultural use is positively affected. In many cases, the previous status quo is actually improved if, for example, poor forest yields can be changed into rich meadows / pastures. The multiple uses e.g. of ski trails / forest trails are also extremely sensible and positive.

Slope construction
The foundation of a perfect slope in winter and a “green” slope in summer is laid during construction. Using excavators, applying enough topsoil after successful levelling, and removing stones from the surfaces are basic prerequisites for later success.

Green Slopes
Vegetation cover with local plants and seeds is another important step in creation a new ski slope. Suitable alpine seed mixtures are developed for this together with the LFZ Raumberg-Gumpenstein.
