Schladming- Rohrmoos

After starting as a summer health resort more than one hundred years ago, Schladming-Rohrmoos and its two ski mountains of Planai and Hochwurzen developed into a Styrian ski metropolis on an international level. Many large events, like the annual Herren-Weltcup-Nachtslalom, the “Special Olympics” world winter games, and the Planai Classic have made Schladming-Rohrmoos one of the most well-known and popular holiday locations in Austria. After 1982, Schladming-Rohrmoos 2013 will by the site of the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships for the second time.

The construction of the Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Link created one of Austria’s largest ski centres around Schladming. Guests of the top holiday destination in Styria have 8,320 guest beds from all categories, from private rooms to the 4-star Superior Hotel, at their disposal. Despite all these highlights, Schladming-Rohrmoos has remained what it is: a small mining town with a lot of tradition, hospitality, atmosphere, and a wonderful ambience in the middle of the Alps.
