Use of Hochwurzen FIS run No. 31 (from Seiter Lodge No. 35) until 19:30 at own risk
Hochwurzen night slope (33): Mon – Sat 19:30 to 22:30
Hochwurzen sled run: Mon – Sat 19:30 to 23:30

Slope safety first
All guests expect high quality and safety on ski slopes and is a basic requirement for international competitions. In order to guarantee this, the Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen have developed and finalised slope regulations together with the lodge hosts of Planai and Hochwurzen.

Proper preparation ensures slope quality
What does the perfect ski day look like? Classic answers to this question include: good weather, lots of fun, great snow, and perfect and safe slopes. Some of these points are subject to nature’s whim and can’t be influenced by the mountain railways. Not so for slope safety and quality. The Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen have made it their business to maintain and improve the highest possible degree of safety and quality in winter. In order to guarantee this, preparation must normally start as early as possible and the slope must remain untouched until the following day’s opening hours. This required uninterrupted work with slope equipment, including the increasingly necessary use of cable winches.

Trespassing is dangerous and actionable
Slope regulations with current slope opening hours were developed together with the lodge hosts of Planai and Hochwurzen. “The safety of our guests when using the slopes is not guaranteed outside official opening hours and constitutes a danger to life,” says Mag. Ernst Trummer, executive director of the Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen. Claims for damages will be filed in cases of trespass or other legal steps will be taken. An external security service is employed at Planai and Hochwurzen to ensure adherence to the slope regulations. If the Aprés Ski takes longer than usual, the lodge hosts of Planai will organise a bus transport from 19:30 at an affordable price! The slope opening hours are clearly visible on the Planai brochures and on notice boards throughout the ski area.
