Ski & surf – with the new WLAN spots on the Planai
Going online to check email and share photos of fabulous skiing experiences with friends is already one of the pleasures of a winter holiday for many smartphone users. In order to meet the demands of visitors over 60 WLAN hotspots have now been set up on the Planai and the Hochwurzen alone. This means those who have stayed at home can now also share a little of our visitors' holiday fun – with absolutely no roaming charges.

The largest WLAN network
860 kilometres of slopes, 260 ski cabins and mountain restaurants, 270 ski lifts, 25 resorts and five regions. The entire Ski amadé area is now networked, with over 250 WLA hotspots at the lift stations and huts providing free internet access on the slopes. Any wireless–enabled device (smartphone, iPad, laptop ...) can connect from a radius of around 150 metres to one of the more than 250 access points in the five ski regions. The hotspots are located in many of the valley and mountain stations of the ski association’s 22 cable car operating companies and in some ski huts and mountain restaurants. This offering from Ski amadé is the largest and most comprehensive of its kind in the Alpine region. And what's more, using it couldn't be easier: All you have to do is log in once – and then you are free to use all your practical apps, the internet and email whilst out on the slopes. No password is required.
