1) On site at the floodlight spectacle on the Planai

Year after year, the night slalom in Schladming is one of the highlights of the Alpine Ski World Cup. Thousands of ski fans regularly flock to the Planai stadium and create a magical atmosphere. They are also the ones who give the night race its unique atmosphere. With horns, horns and trumpets, they literally carry the athletes to the finish line. Have you ever experienced the race in person?

Next week, night will turn into day twice, as two floodlit races will take place. While the legendary night slalom takes place on Tuesday, there will be a premiere on Wednesday with the night giant slalom.

You can find all the information about these top events here.

2) Pure nature - snowshoeing or ski touring in a winter wonderland

If you are looking for idyllic nature experiences, you will find what you are looking for when snowshoeing or ski touring. Silence, a glistening winter landscape lies before you, nothing can be heard except the crunching of the snow underfoot... In winter, a certain silence returns to the mountains away from the ski resorts, which can also be felt on the Stoderzinken, for example. In winter, it is the destination for all those seeking peace and quiet. You can reach the summit in around 1 hour on snowshoes from the Rosemi Alm. When touring in open terrain, it is always important to keep an eye on the current avalanche situation!

3) Excursions with animal vacation companions

A hike through the untouched winter landscape is always an experience, but with this four-legged companion it is sure to be unforgettable. Big googly eyes and fluffy & soft fur that you want to cuddle immediately - have you ever seen alpacas or llamas up close? At the Klausnerhof farm in Gössenberg or at the Grundlehner organic farm, you can take part in a llama or alpaca trekking tour by booking in advance.

Or are you longing for a little romance? How about a cozy horse-drawn carriage ride? Snuggled up in warm blankets, you can take a sleigh ride through snow-covered forests and meadows - the perfect way to unwind.

4) A different kind of winter sports experience

For those who haven't had enough during the day, winter sports fun is also guaranteed late into the evening. In Ramsau am Dachstein, for example, you can do your laps on the night trail in the stadium every day from 16:30-19:00. A special kind of experience awaits you on full moon days, when the standard east and west trails are open until midnight. The Dachsteinbad is also open until 10:00 p.m. - the motto is first work out and then relax in the warm water.

Do you prefer more action and curves? On the Hochwurzen, for example, you can enjoy almost 7 km of tobogganing fun from Tuesday to Saturday in the evening. Another great way to round off a day's vacation!
