Vacations with dogs on the Planai & Hochwurzen

Whether in summer or winter - four-legged companions are very welcome on the Planai and Hochwurzen ! To make your vacation with your dog relaxed and unforgettable, we ask you to follow a few important tips.

With your dog in the gondola

You and your dog can enjoy a relaxing ride up the mountain in the gondola and enjoy nature to the full. However, dogs must be kept on a lead and muzzled in all cable cars.

Exceptions:
  • Dogs in transport containers do not need a muzzle
  • Guide dogs for the blind and assistance dogs for severely disabled people are also exempt

Muzzles are available at the ticket office for € 9.50. The gondola ticket for your dog costs € 8.00.

Out and about on the mountain with a dog

You can also be active with your dog on the mountain - with a few restrictions.
Winter

Dogs are not allowed on ski slopes and cross-country ski trails in winter. However, there are signposted, suitable winter hiking trails available for walks with your four-legged friend.

The following applies to ski tours with dogs:

  • Ascent and descent are at your own risk
  • Your dog must be kept on a short lead at all times
  • Free running is not permitted
  • Please always collectdog waste and dispose of it properly
Summer

Dogs must be kept on a leash on the Planai and Hochwurzen in summer . Please keep your dog on the marked hiking trails and always dispose of dog waste properly in order to respect nature and other visitors.

With the dog on the Planai bus

Your dog is also welcome on the Planai buses. To ensure a pleasant and safe journey for everyone, the following rules apply:

  • All dogsmust be kept on a lead and muzzled
  • Small dogs (on the lap) travel free of charge
  • Larger dogs: 50% of the normal fare
  • Assistance dogs and guide dogs travel free of charge and do not have to be muzzled
  • Muzzles are available on the bus for € 9.50
