Spring, summer, fall or winter - on the family-friendly 4-season Hochwurzen trail , you can experience unforgettable moments in nature at any time of year!
Start of the tour
The Hochwurzen summit lift takes you comfortably to the starting point at 1,850 meters. From there, the varied hiking trail leads you down into the valley - ideal for families with children. The trail mostly runs along well-maintained forest roads, but also along idyllic forest and root paths, especially in the Kleine Wurzen area and along trail no. 60 from the Hotel Winterer.
Close to nature & promising
The 4-season trail is excellently maintained and always offers you fantastic views - especially of the Reiteralm. It takes around two hours to reach the Winterer parking lot or the Hochwurzen II valley station.
Convenient way back
If your car is parked at the Hochwurzen summit lift , you can either hike back to the Hochwurzen summit lift in comfort or simply take the bus back.
For active people: uphill and downhill on foot
Do you want to be sporty? Then you can do the whole route without the gondola - both uphill and downhill. For those who prefer to climb the mountain under their own steam, this is a real adventure!
