The during the year 2020 built 8-seater Lärchkogel chair lift ensures a comfortable start to your skiing day on the Planai. In less than four minutes skiers can reach 1,758 m above sea level. On the panoramic roof at the mountain station, skiers can enjoy a fantastic view of the Dachstein massif. From here you can discover the hotspots of the region with the new Planai Augmented Reality APP and also learn a lot of interesting facts about the new Lärchkogel chair lift. At the rest areas, the so called "Warm-Up Platzerl", winter sports enthusiasts find warm-up equipment to prepare themselves for the first downhill run of the day.
Embedded in the fascinating mountain world between the Schladminger Tauern and the Dachstein massif, the towns of Schladming and Rohrmoos are popular holiday resorts in both winter and summer.
With the 4-mountain ski area from Reiteralm via Hochwurzen and Planai to Hauser Kaibling, Schladming offers you a total of 123 kilometres of pistes - world championship groomed and with a wide variety of slopes from the summit to the valley.
In summer you can enjoy hiking tours - which you can combine with great packages to create a multi-day experience - beautiful mountain lakes and lots of action.
There is also plenty on offer for the little ones, one of the highlights is certainly the highest playground in Styria on the Planai in Hopsiland. Fun for the whole family is also guaranteed with the varied family joker programme.
