The use of bike parks and mountain bike trails involves certain risks, even if these can be reduced by using common sense and following a few simple rules.
1. operating times
Cable car operating hours from 09:00 to 17:00. Bike park opening hours from 9:00 to 18:00
The opening hours must be observed. Riding on the bike trails outside of the opening hours is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted.
2. protective equipment and bicycles
Every cyclist must wear protective equipment appropriate to their ability and the chosen route. This consists in any case of a helmet and gloves. Additional protectors on the back, neck, elbows and legs are recommended. On black (difficult) routes, a full-face helmet is mandatory! It is also obligatory to use a bike that is suitable for the trail conditions and has been maintained accordingly, e.g. all-mountain, enduro, freeride or downhill bike. Riding on the bike park trails with bicycle trailers, child seats and the like is prohibited!
3. routes
Only the marked routes in the Bikepark Schladming may be used. Riding off these routes is strictly prohibited! Non-compliance may result in administrative proceedings, an action for trespassing and ticket withdrawal. An absolute riding ban also applies to closed routes or route sections.
4. use of the bike park and the trails
The risk must be assessed before using the facility. Use is only permitted with a valid bike park ticket. Children and young people under the age of 16 may only use the Bikepark Schladming if accompanied by a parent or guardian or an authorized supervisor. The instructions of the staff must be followed at all times; route closures must be observed. The conditions of carriage of Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen GmbH must be observed. The lift ticket may be revoked if the conditions of use/rules of conduct are disregarded.
5. consideration for other cyclists
Every cyclist must behave in such a way that they do not endanger or harm others.
6. control of speed and riding style
Every cyclist must ride on sight. They must adapt their speed and riding style to their ability, the terrain and weather conditions and the density of traffic. The routes lead through steep and technically difficult terrain, which requires control of the bike and technical ability.
7. choice of lane
Cyclists coming from behind must choose their lane in such a way that they do not endanger cyclists in front of them.
8 Overtaking
Cyclists may overtake from above, from the right or from the left, but only at a distance that allows the overtaken cyclist sufficient space for all his movements.
9 Stopping, walking and hiking
It is forbidden for any cyclist to stop in narrow or unclear places on a route without necessity. A cyclist who has fallen must clear such a place as quickly as possible. Walking, hiking and, in particular, walking uphill or riding uphill on the cycle routes is prohibited.
10 Photography and filming
Photography and filming on the bike trails is prohibited for safety reasons. Photography and filming is only permitted with the consent of Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen GmbH and after taking appropriate safety measures.
11. road traffic regulations
The StVO must be observed when driving on public roads. It must be ensured that the bicycles are suitable for the StVO; if necessary, the bicycle must be pushed.
12 Observe the signs
Every cyclist must observe the markings, signs and signalization. Particular attention must be paid at road junctions (always stop!). Bicycles that do not comply with the StVO must be pushed when crossing a public road.
13. assistance
In the event of an accident, every cyclist is obliged to provide assistance; it is recommended that you always carry a cell phone with you.
14. identification obligation
Every cyclist, whether witness or participant, whether responsible or not, must provide their personal details in the event of an accident.
15 Environment
Care must be taken for the environment. Garbage must be disposed of in the appropriate places. Repairs on the bicycle routes are prohibited. The use of cold cleaners or non-biodegradable cleaning agents is strictly prohibited.
16 Liability
Riding in the Bikepark Schladming is exclusively at your own risk. No liability is assumed for accidents, each user is liable for himself.
The operator is excluded from any liability. The bike park is operated by Planai-Hochwurzen Bahnen GmbH.
