Relaxed hiking at 1,900 m

Fancy a leisurely hike with a wow effect? The panoramic circular trail on the Planai at 1,900 meters above sea level offers you a relaxed nature experience with breathtaking views from spring to autumn - without any effort and even suitable for baby carriages!

Start of the circular trail

Take the Planai main cable car from Schladming up to the Planai mountain station, where your walk begins. The varied, almost flat circular trail takes you around the summit of the Planai in around 40 minutes without any major differences in altitude.

View with vision

Along the way, you can enjoy impressive panoramic views of the Enns Valley, the majestic Dachstein, the Ramsau high plateau and the surrounding mountains of the Schladminger and Hohe Tauern.

The Planai lake & the "place of contemplation"

After just a few minutes' walk, you will reach the special "Place of Reflection " at the idyllic Planai lake - a walk-in wooden sculpture in the shape of a cross, which was erected to mark the 25th anniversary of the Planai-Hochwurzen lifts. It towers impressively over the water and invites you to pause, marvel and recharge your batteries.

Learn, laugh & discover

Along the circular trail, you will find exciting information boards about the flora, fauna and region - ideal for learning more about the nature around Schladming. Lovingly carved figures, which are a real highlight for children in particular, will put a smile on your face.

Extra tip: Your summit victory

Want to go even higher? No problem: you can reach the summit of the Planai in just 15 minutes - for an additional sense of achievement with a summit cross and panoramic views.
