Arrival by car
You can reach Schladming directly and without detours via the Ennstal Bundesstraße B320. There are numerous parking options available around the valley stations - including the modern multi-storey parking lot and the underground car park in the Planai Stadium. Signposted access routes and well-developed roads ensure a stress-free journey.

Planai & Winter Sports Center WEST
Around 1,000 free parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity of the Planet Planai valley station.
Whether in the ultra-modern underground car park "Planai Stadion" or the Planai multi-storey parking lot - you can conveniently prepare for your day of skiing without having to carry your ski equipment far. The Planai parking lot is adjacent to the valley station and offers direct access to the gondola entrance. Owners of an e-car can charge their car at the e-charging station for a fee.
Parking space Planai WEST
The Planai WEST parking lot is situated to the west of Schladming, right next to the WEST winter sports centre. Free parking spaces are available here. Charging points for electric cars are available for a fee. The car park is ideal for multi-day hikers who want to park their vehicle safely whilst on their hike. From the car park, it’s about a five-minute walk to the ‘Lendplatz’ bus stop. From there, the regular bus service will take you comfortably to the valley station of the Hochwurzen summit cable car or to other starting points in the region.
How to get to the car park:
Coming from Salzburgerstraße, turn off at the Planai WEST pharmacy and follow the road to the barrier. After passing through the barrier, keep left – the free Planai WEST car park is located there.
Important note:
The gravel car park on the right before the barrier is not part of Planai WEST. Parking there is only permitted upon payment of a parking fee. Violations of the parking regulations will be penalised accordingly.

The main parking lot at the Hochwurzen summit cable car is available free of charge in summer and winter – including electric charging points.

Arrival by train
Schladming train station is just a 5-minute walk from the WEST winter sports center. So you can start your day of skiing in a climate-friendly and relaxed way - without having to search for a parking space. Thanks to direct connections from Graz, Salzburg, Linz and Vienna, it's also easy to get here from other regions.
In summer, our hiking and city buses take you comfortably from Schladming train station to the valley stations of the cable cars. You can also reach the Planai valley station on foot - the walk is around 1.5 km long and takes around 15 minutes.

For those arriving by plane, several airports in the surrounding area offer convenient connections to the Schladming-Dachstein region. Graz Airport, just under two hours away, is particularly easy to reach and offers international flight connections. Salzburg, Linz and Munich airports are also popular options for a straightforward journey.

Reservations are not possible - our on-site parking team will assign you the next available space. This guarantees a smooth and fair allocation of parking spaces for all guests.
Overnight parking is not permitted in the Planai parking lots. Our parking areas - stadium parking lot, underground garage and parking garage - are open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm when the cable car is in operation. Penalties are to be expected outside these times. Please follow the instructions on site.
