Do you want to aim high? Then you've come to the right place - and your first contact is me. As an apprentice representative of Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen, I will accompany you from the first taster day to the successful completion of your apprenticeship.

Teaching

Ropeway technician

  • Apprenticeship period: 3.5 years
  • Vocational school: LBS Hallein | Salzburg
  • Training on state-of-the-art cable car systems (10-seater gondola, 8-seater chairlift)
  • You learn operation, maintenance and fault analysis directly in practice

Double apprenticeship

Cable car technician & electrical technician

  • Apprenticeship period: 4 years
  • Vocational school: LBS Hallein | Salzburg
  • In addition to the basics of ropeway technology, you will also acquire know-how in electrical engineering (e.g. low-voltage and low-current technology)
  • You will work on snowmaking systems and electrical components throughout the ski area

Teaching

with Matura

  • You can also complete your Matura at the same time as your apprenticeship
  • Many paths are open to you after graduation: studies, further training or a career with us

What you should bring with you

Prerequisites

  • Technical understanding and manual dexterity
  • Enjoy working outdoors
  • Team spirit, a sense of responsibility and reliability
  • No fear of heights - you also work on the support!
  • Complete taster days at the Planai in advance

Your working environment

Varied, diverse & exciting

During your apprenticeship, you will work in many exciting places - from the Dachstein Gletscherbahn aerial tramway at 2,700 m to the 2-seater chairlift on the Wilden Berg in Mautern. With us, you will get to know all areas: Planai, Hochwurzen, Dachstein Glacier, Galsterberg & Wilder Berg Mautern.
