Skiing fun at night
When the valley is shrouded in darkness, a very special experience begins on the Hochwurzen: night skiing on a floodlit piste with a view of Schladming at night. The special atmosphere and the perfectly groomed piste no. 33 make the evening a highlight for sports enthusiasts.
Safety notice
Please note: At 11.00 pm, the floodlights will be switched off, the slope will be closed and groomed using cable-towed snow groomers.
The other slopes are closed to ascending skiers between 4.00 pm and 8.30 am for safety reasons (slope grooming, cable winches, etc.) and are also closed to descending skiers from 5.00 pm onwards. Skiing and walking on the slopes outside the authorised times is prohibited!

Tip for night owls
For night-time skiing on the Hochwurzen, the floodlit run no. 33 is open. It runs from the top station of the Hochwurzen Gipfelbahn to the bottom station of the Gipfelbahn.
Combine your night-time skiing with a stop at one of the nearby huts or an evening toboggan ride – the toboggan run on the Hochwurzen is also open in the evening.
Refreshments are also available! Right by the top station, the Hochwurzenhütte and the Hochwurzenalm are open. After your first few turns down into the valley, you’ll pass the Seiterhütte. At the end of your evening’s skiing, you can enjoy a stop for refreshments at the Tauernalm, located at the bottom station of the Hochwurzen Gipfelbahn.
