The bike area in Hopsiland on the Planai is ideal for anyone who wants to gain their first experience on a bike or improve their technique - with easy trails and a conveyor belt. The Flowline, a trail around 16 km long with gentle bends, wide lanes and a gentle gradient, is particularly popular - perfect for getting into gravity sports. The family-friendly terrain is well equipped and provides a safe introduction to the world of mountain biking.

Bike Area

The Bike Area on the Planai offers ideal conditions for beginners, children and families. Three easy routes with gentle gradients and wide bends allow you to safely get to grips with the sport of biking. Those who master all the lines safely are ready for the Flowline - the next level in the Bikepark Schladming.

The bike area is located at the Planai mountain station and is easily accessible: From the mountain station, the Hopsi Express (inclined elevator) takes you directly to the start - and back again, of course. Rental bikes and protective equipment are available on site.

Flowline

the highlight for young & old

The Flowline in the Bikepark Schladming is ideal for anyone looking for smooth riding fun - from beginners to advanced riders. It is around 16 km long and runs from the Planai mountain station down to the valley. With an average gradient of 8%, the route runs on a smooth, wide surface - without any roots, stones or steps. Numerous bends and waves ensure a consistently safe and fun riding experience.

The Flowline is divided into two sections: The upper section between the top and middle station is known as the Peak Flowline, while the lower section down to the valley is called the Stadium Flowline.

Learn to Ride Area

in the Planai Stadium

The Learn to Ride Area is located in the Planai Stadium, directly on the VIP deck (parking lot opposite the TUI BLUE hotel). Cones and small obstacles are set up to practice balance, cornering technique and braking behavior in a safe environment.

The area is available free of charge and is particularly suitable for children and beginners. Use is only restricted during Bike School Pekoll coaching sessions. The Learn to Ride Area is the perfect complement to the Bike Area.

The Bike School Pekoll in the Bikepark Schladming offers professional courses for every level - from kids' camps to beginner and advanced courses to individual or private coaching. Perfect for improving your riding technique and being safe on the bike.

Yes, the Bikepark Schladming also offers easy trails for beginners and children. The ideal place to start is the bike area with three easy practice trails. Once you have mastered these safely, you can switch to the Flowline - a 16 km long descent with a gentle gradient, perfect for families and beginners.

The bike area with three short, easy trails is ideal for beginners - also suitable for children on balance bikes. In the bike park itself, the Flowline from the mountain station is the easiest trail and perfect for a gentle introduction to mountain biking.

The colors indicate the level of difficulty of the trails:

  • Green: very easy
  • Blue: easy
  • Red: medium difficulty
  • Black: difficult

This allows you to choose the trail to suit your riding ability.

Children of all ages may use the bike park if accompanied by a supervisor. Children aged 16 and over are only allowed to ride alone in the Bikepark Schladming.

Yes, the Bründl Sports Bikeworld in the Planai Stadium also offers children's bikes including protective equipment. Booking in advance is recommended.

Yes, the Bike School Pekoll offers special kids camps, individual and private coaching for all skill levels in the Bikepark Schladming - ideal for a safe and playful introduction to biking.

The bikes are simply pushed into special bike gondolas - comfortably and without lifting. Two bikes can be transported in each gondola. So you can get from the valley to the mountain station in comfort.

No, the use of child trailers or bikes with child seats is not permitted in the entire Bikepark Schladming.

Yes, there are special bike vouchers. These vouchers can be redeemed at the ticket office for bike tickets, at the Bründl Sports Bikeworld rental shop and at the Pekoll Bike School for coaching sessions.
