Ski touring on the Planai

Do you love being active in nature and are you looking for a special winter experience? Then a ski tour on the Planai is just the thing for you. The marked ascent track leadsides you through the impressive mountain world of the Schladming-Dachstein region - with views of the Dachstein massif and the wintry Enns Valley. The combination of sporting challenge and modern infrastructure makes the Planai the ideal destination for all those who want to enjoy winter under their own steam.

Ascent track Planai

The ascent trail starts at the Planai middle station or Lärchkogel valley station and leads via the World Cup trail up to the Lärchkogel and on to the Planai summit at 1,906 m.

Ski touring on the Hochwurzen

The Hochwurzen is made for unforgettable ski tours in the Schladming-Dachstein region. Whether during the day or by floodlight - the ascent rewards you with tranquillity, views and a genuine closeness to nature. Step by step, you make your way up into the wintry mountain world of Styria.

Ascent track Hochwurzen

The starting point is the valley station of the Hochwurzen summit lift at the start portal. From there, the marked trail leads up to the mountain station at 1,852 m.

Information about the ascent tracks

The routes on the Planai & Hochwurzen are marked - please always follow the signposted guidance system.

Tickets

If you have a valid ski ticket for the Planai & Hochwurzen, this ticket is valid for your tour. If you do not have a valid ticket , you can purchase one at all our ticket offices . At the starting point of the Planai ascent track , you can buy your ticket at the Lärchkogel ticket office. On the Hochwurzen , there is a ticket machine at the start portal for this purpose

Skiing at night - Hochwurzen

On the night operation days the ascent lane may be used until 23:00 may be used.

Ascent: 19:00-23:00 via piste 33 (left side)

Descent: also via piste 33 to the valley station

Important: No ascent between 16:00 and 19:00!

The other slopes are closed between 16:00 and 08:30 for safety reasons (slope preparation, cable winch, etc.). It is forbidden to ski on or enter the slopes outside the permitted times.
