Hopsi's Children Winter Wonderland

Kids will be in their element up in the mountains!

A great offer for all ages – discover the ski fun zone in the Märchenwiese area!

Fun and excitement comes first in Hopsi's Children Winter Wonderland at the Planai. The Children Winter Wonderland is settled in the heart of the Märchenwiese area and can be reached not only with skies but also by foot via the Hopsi Express (inclined lift). Therefore, it's ideal not only for beginners and their families but also for non-skiers.

There is a pedestrian tunnel to the Hopsi-Express summit station, enabling children, families and night skiers to proceed safely from the Planai mountain station to the Hopsi Express.

Once the Winter Wonderland is reached, there is a lot to explore. Following the motto "Hopsi's journey around the world", the little ones can accompany our mascot Hopsi on his travels all the way from China to Australia and through Europe.

It is essential that everyone feels more than welcome at Hopsi's Children Winter Wonderland. Therefore, we aimed to find the perfect fit for anyone - no matter whether they are beginners, intermediate, advanced or non-skiers.

Beginners as well as intermediate skiers will feel right at home at our regional ski schools which are also situated in Hopsi's Children Winter Wonderland.

Skill: fun without skis

Even for non-skiers there is a lot to explore in Hopsi's Children Winter Wonderland:

Hopsi slide

Here you can enjoy not only the slide but also the beautiful Dachstein panorama. It is the perfect place to take your picture with Hopsi.

Kasalm

Situated right at the bottom station of our new Hopsi Express, the Kasalm offers a lot of fun with its slide and indoor marbel run. You can prove your accuracy by shooting at the cheese wall.

Dachstein gondola

Climbing, frolicking, sliding! Our Dachstein gondola, which was used directly at the Dachstein from 1969 until 2013, is a great fun factor.

Pistenbully

Jump on the pistenbully from our climbing wall or pull yourself up by the cable winch. Once inside, you feel like a real snowcat operator.

Indian tent

In the area Märchenwiesenhütte you will find the Indian Tipi, which invites you to climb and slide if you need a break from skiing.

Hopsi's winter hiking path and the North Pole

If you really want to enjoy our beautiful mountain, we opt for the 2 kilometres long circular hiking trail. From Hopsi Express' bottom station past the "Little China Area" (close to Märchenwiesenhütte) you will reach the starting point of the hiking trail.  The eight meter high new play station North Pole with slide and marble runs is particularly impressive. Alongside the trail you can find the Steirereck which invites you to sit down, rest and enjoy the view. Walking time about 45 minutes

Skill: snowplough

The perfect place for anyone who still feels a little bit insecure on their skis:

Little China

The highlights in this area are the china slalom and the wave railway. While skiing through the wave railway you can create your own sound via a xylophone or listen to oriental music when high-fiving the gong.

Fahr Long - conveyor belt

This area is the home of our dragon "Fahr-Long". He is the conveyor belt that transports you to the china slalom and the wave railway.

Skill: advanced

Croco-Trophy

All the little speeders who already know how to use the t-bar can make their way to the Coco-Trophy in Australia. Here, crocodiles and other animals from down under are waiting for you.

"Mörchenweg"

The Mörchenweg leads you to the Funslope's and Funcross' starting point all the way back to Kasalm, China and Australia.

"Waldweg"

The newly built forest path with many handcarved native forest animals can be reached from the summit of the Planai, branching off from the ski path in direction Mitterhaus. This offers an easy descent from the hightest point of the Planai back to the Hopsiland, Area Märchenwiese.
