New bike bridge in Schladming Bike Park

The Schladming Bike Park has a new, forward-looking highlight! The grand opening of the new bike bridge on the Planai not only made an important contribution to safety, but also created a new favourite spot for all fans of spectacular views.

The modern steel structure now spans the country road and connects the popular Stadium Flowline, Kessler Line and legendary World Cup Downhill trails. Thanks to this bridge, cyclists can now cross the road safely and comfortably – without any detours or risks in traffic.

Viewing platform with wow factor

Particularly impressive: the new bridge is more than just an overpass – it's a real viewing point! The integrated platform offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Dachstein massif, the Planai cable car and the popular step-up jump. Whether it's a selfie, a group photo or a spectacular action shot, this spot is guaranteed to be one of the most photographed locations in the Schladming Bike Park.

At the official opening on Thursday, Planai Managing Director Georg Bliem welcomed numerous guests, including representatives of the Schladming-Dachstein Tourism Association, local residents and Mayor Hermann Trinker.

‘With the new bridge, we are not only setting another milestone for the safety and comfort of our cyclists, but also creating a place for a short break with a magnificent view thanks to the viewing platform. A big thank you goes to everyone who contributed to the realisation of this project,’ said Georg Bliem.
