Ecology, economy and social responsibility form the basis of our actions. We focus on environmentally friendly technologies, economic stability and social responsibility - because true sustainability only works when all areas work together.

The first environmental principles in the Dachstein-Tauern region were formulated as early as 1989 - co-designed by the Planai. Today, our measures range from modern slope grooming to the electrification of the Dachstein Glacier Lift. New initiatives are added every year.

A dedicated team has been managing our environmental and quality management since 2021. In 2023, our commitment was confirmed with the ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications. Internal audits, training and a clear action plan ensure that we continue to think consistently.

Our intelligent snow management relies on GPS-supported snow depth measurement, efficient storage ponds and precise planning. This allows us to reduce energy and water consumption - while maintaining consistently high snow quality.

Since winter 2023/24, all our snow groomers, public buses and the majority of our company fleet have been running on HVO - a fossil-free fuel made from residual materials. This saves us up to 2,300 tons of CO₂ every year.

Perfectly groomed slopes in winter , green pastures in summer. Our land maintenance protects habitats, prevents erosion and strengthens biodiversity - with targeted greening and sustainable land use.

10 photovoltaic systems with an output of over 500 kWp already supply over 320,000 kWh of electricity per year. Vision by 2029: to generate at least 16% of our own requirements using renewable energy. Our flagship project: the "Energy Crystal" - the Dachstein mountain station.

Thanks to over 200 measuring points, we are constantly optimizing electricity consumption . Heat recovery, LED conversion and direct drives for cable cars noticeably reduce energy requirements - efficiently and sustainably.

Whether hiking bus in summer or ski bus in winter - over 500,000 guests use our public transport solutions every year. We also offer charging infrastructure for electric cars and combined tickets for a climate-friendly journey.

With over € 120 million in investments since 2015, we are securing jobs and promoting regional value creation. Sustainability also means acting with foresight and involving local partners.

Our team has up to 430 employees - a third of whom are women. We focus on fair conditions, promoting apprentices, further development and social projects. With regional partners and charitable organizations, we take responsibility beyond the company.
